In an effort to accommodate residents who have domestic animal complaints, the Borough of Emmaus entered into a contract with The Lehigh County Humane Society.
The Emmaus Borough Ambulance Department is an advanced life support EMS provider who responds 24/7 to the Borough of Emmaus municipal boundaries as well as portions of Lower Macungie Township to the west, Salisbury Township to the north, and half of Upper Milford Township to the south and east.
The Emmaus Fire Department proudly protects people and properties in Emmaus and its immediate vicinity.
The Emmaus Public Library is part of the Access Pennsylvania program and serves as the home library for residents of the East Penn area.
The mission of the Emmaus Police Department is to be a leader in providing total quality service to all of our residents as well as those who visit and work in our community.
The Borough of Emmaus Tax Collector is an elected position with an office located in Borough Hall. The Tax Collector collects property taxes for both the Borough of Emmaus as well as the East Penn School District.
Water / Public Works
The Emmaus Borough Water Department provides water service to 4,599 customers in Emmaus Borough with a system-wide average daily demand of 1.27 million gallons. The department also provides wastewater and public works services.
The Zoning Department regulates the use of land and the construction of buildings and other structures. The other area of responsibility in this department is general code enforcement.
